Friday night we saw up-and-coming young designer Richard Chai open his pop-up store under the High Line as part of Building Fashion, the collaborative competition pairing emerging fashion designers with Architizer-approved architecture firms.

The store was designed by Greenpoint duo Snarkitecture, who specialize in a self-aware mixture of avant-garde art and architecture. Their approach, which combines just the right about of intuition with technical and material exploration, proved to be hugely complimentary to Chai’s brand of hand-detailed modernism.
